Learning Beyond the School Day

When children enter the Extended Care afterschool program, a whole other world of imagination and growth opens up to them. Through experiential learning opportunities and consistent care, students explore and thrive in a supportive and fun setting.
Extended Care is a drop-in program and no advance registration is required. There are daily opportunities to get homework assistance, create art, and engage in enrichment classes, and indoor and outdoor play.

The Fall term of the Roots and Branches program runs from Tuesday, September 12 to Thursday, December 14, 2023. Classes are held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday on regular full-school days. Classes are not held on days when school is not in session. Registration is required for all enrichment classes and fees vary depending on the number of class sessions. Please see Roots and Branches At-A-Glance for more information. Unless otherwise noted, classes meet once a week, between the hours of 3-6 pm.

Carefully read through the course listings before registering your student. Dates and times may differ. Students enrolled in classes out of their age group will be removed from the class roster and asked to select another class. We cannot guarantee other classes will be available for enrollment at that time. Visit the Roots and Branches FAQ sheet for additional information.

Please visit the Extended Care resource tile on the Portal for course registration enrollment links. Registration is now open in the Portal and will close on Thursday, September 7 at 5pm.
